This is the story of my illness

I have become sick again and this time decided to write my story, for few different reasons. First, I keep forget the details and it's good to have them down, Second, My psychologist wants me to write everything in a notebook, I'm not a paper person so blogging it here is my choice.

It all started mid August when I started short episodes of black outs, once a week at first and then increased to once/twice a day. most episodes happened at night, until September 2nd when it happened during the day while I was in office, so I left early and then on the following Sunday I had a fall and hit my head on the floor.

Friends called an Ambulance and paramedics rushed me to Joondalup Health Campus hospital. following that the doctors kept me in GM sections 8 days, monitoring my heart and also done a CT Scan and one EEG, apparently all normal.

I had several blackouts during my stay, and on my last day there, following another episode of fall, woke up thinking the date is three years ago (when I was actually admitted in JHC for a different issue for few days).

I couldn't recognize any of my life events for the past three years, didn't know about my home or work mates or anything that has happened in the past three years.

May partner was very worried and of course I wouldn't even recognize our relationship however I know him for 15 years so I still knew him.

after a very long day, doctor Shelly came to see us around 8pm, he told us that there is nothing wrong with me and I need to fix my issues and stop faking my symptoms.

well, I don't remember the details of that day and night in great clarity but I know doctor Shelly happily discharged me on my partner request and the hospital didn't even follow up to see what happened with this patient.

Now, I have a history of this illness which I will save it for another post, but long story short is that I had similar attacks at the age of 16 and 20 while I was living in Iran, my neurologist at the time diagnosed me with some sort of epilepsy and started treating me with Sodium Volporates.

then I moved to Australia on 2007 and everything was fine until 2010 when again I had similar attacks and was hospitalized in SCG hospital in Perth for several weeks. then again they couldn't diagnose me and when I started developing amnesia they happily discharged me from the hospital.
my old neurologist from Iran suggested extra dosses of SV and whether the pills or time helped, the symptoms went a way in few months.

well this time also I tried to contact my old neurologist in Iran while I was in JHC hospital, but he said after all these years he can't give me any advise unless I go and visit him in person.

So when Dr. Shelly discharged me without any diagnosis and told my partner that is all fake, my partner decided to take me back to Iran to the old doctor.

I'll write that part in a separate post, just by finishing that we came home that night, I didn't even recognize my own home, nor my new friends and slept. woke up 3 am to go to airport and my memory was back to normal except that I couldn't remember the last 24 hours events.
